Our Facilities
Top-Notch Engineering Solutions
Southern Engineering takes pride in its advanced and expansive facilities, which are crucial for delivering top-notch engineering solutions. With a anufacturing shop spanning approximately 15,000 square feet, the company houses a wide range of equipment and machinery for efficient fabrication and manufacturing processes.
Key among these facilities are the three high-end CNC laser machines, employing cutting-edge laser technology for precise and accurate cuts on sheet metal components. Complementing this is the CNC press brake, a versatile machine used for bending and shaping sheet metal with exceptional accuracy.
Mig Welding
MIG welding, also known as Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), is a welding process that uses a continuous solid wire electrode and shielding gas to join two metal pieces. It is commonly used in industries such as automotive, construction, and manufacturing. MIG welding offers high welding speeds, versatility, and ease of use, making it a popular choice for various applications.
Arc Welding
Arc welding is a welding process that utilizes an electric arc between an electrode and the base material to create a weld joint. The intense heat generated by the arc melts the electrode and the workpiece, creating a molten pool that solidifies to form a strong bond. Arc welding is widely used in industries such as construction, fabrication, and repair due to its versatility, affordability, and ability to join various metals.
Machining Works ( Drilling & Tapping)
Machining works involving drilling and tapping are essential processes in metalworking. Drilling creates holes in a workpiece using a rotating cutting tool, while tapping creates threads within the holes using a tap tool. These operations are commonly used in industries such as manufacturing, automotive, and aerospace for creating precise holes and threaded connections in metal components, enabling assembly and attachment of various parts.
Powder Coating
Powder coating is a popular method of applying a durable and protective finish to various metal objects. It involves the application of a dry powder, typically made of polymer resin and pigments, onto a surface that is then heated to fuse and bond the powder particles. The result is a tough, even, and attractive coating that provides corrosion resistance, durability, and a wide range of colors and textures. Powder coating is commonly used in industries such as automotive, appliances, furniture, and architecture.
Laser Design Customisation
Laser design customization refers to the process of using laser technology to create personalized and intricate designs on various materials. By harnessing the precision and versatility of lasers, customized patterns, text, logos, or artwork can be etched, engraved, or cut into surfaces such as wood, metal, glass, or acrylic, offering a unique and high-quality finish.
Safety Lockers
Safety lockers are secure storage units designed to protect valuable items, documents, or personal belongings. They typically feature durable construction, sturdy locks, and sometimes additional security measures such as biometric access or combination codes. Safety lockers are commonly used in homes, offices, banks, hotels, and other establishments to safeguard important possessions from theft or unauthorized access.
